Back Alley Artists Night
A CELEBRATION OF EMERGING ARTISTS
Our vision of the Back Alley Artists Night is an annual exhibition featuring the work of emerging visual artists, filmmakers, slam poets, performance art and musicians from the Lower Mainland and provides an opportunity for cross discipline networking while celebrating amazing artists.
Performance Date: July 8, 2017 (this is a one night performance)
Performance Location: CBC Studio 700 @ 700 Hamilton Street, Vancouver
Submission Deadline: June 5th
Accepted Artists Announced: June 8th
Submission: Become an Artist Member OR pay the $10 fee below. Then email Elisabeth@thepurplestapler.com
Audience Choice Award: The 2017 performance prize will be announced at the event! Chosen by the audience, the Back Alley Performance award has - in past years - included a separate performance.
Requirements:
- Priority will be given to performances of creative activism
- Performance is between 10-25min
NOTE: Submission is not a guarantee of inclusion in the exhibition. Accepted artists and artworks will be announced on June 8th.
**National submissions accepted, so long as the work can be screened in Vancouver on July 8, 2017.
